Spotlight on the TMI Team

The TMI Unit 1 team actively volunteers in the local community. A majority of employees live in Dauphin County or Lancaster County and contribute to their communities. Here are just a few of those employees to tell you about what they do:

Jen Tennis

Bowl for Kids Sake
Jen is a systems engineer at Three Mile Island Unit 1 and is actively involved in North American Young Generation in Nuclear (NA-YGN). "I coordinated the 'Bowl for Kids Sake' event this past year to benefit the Lancaster County Big Brothers Big Sisters. We raised over $1,400 for the organization."

Rich Freeman

Nativity School of Harrisburg
Rich is a programs engineer at TMI Unit 1 and volunteers his time at a local school. "I have been helping eighth graders at the Nativity School of Harrisburg prepare for the Engineers Week Future City Competition. They will present their vision of a city of the future."

Anna Nock

Capital Area Science and Engineering Fair
Anna is a mechanical design engineer at TMI Unit 1 and active in the site’s Diversity Council. She is also involved in North American Young Generation in Nuclear (NA-YGN). "TMI’s Diversity Council is proud to take an active role in the community. Over the past year members of the council have helped judge the Capital Area Engineering and Science Fair, held a food drive in support of the Middletown Interfaith Food Pantry, supported an informational booth on TMI at the Middletown Autumn Festival, participated in the March of Dimes walk in Harrisburg, and participated in the Race Against Racism in Lancaster, among others."

Becky Siebler

Salvation Army Angel Tree
Becky is an administrative coordinator in the engineering department at TMI Unit 1. "I coordinate the activities at the station involving the Dauphin County Salvation Army Angel Tree. Employees take an angel off of the tree and then buy toys or clothing for a child in the area."

Denny Viola

Boy Scouts of America
Denny is a radiation protection supervisor at TMI Unit 1. "I volunteer as a committee member of Boy Scouts Troop 97 of Londonderry Township, and as the merit badge counselor for the Nuclear Science and Auto Mechanics merit badges for several local Boy Scouts councils.
