6/25/2008 - Three Mile Island Sirens to be Tested June 26
On Thursday, June 26 at 12:15 p.m. EDT all 96 emergency notification sirens in the 10-mile radius around Three Mile Island Generating Station will be sounded for three minutes. AmerGen Energy Co. is conducting the test in cooperation with Cumberland, Dauphin, Lancaster, Lebanon and York Counties and the Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency (PEMA).

4/29/2008 - Three Mile Island Lowers Wholesale Electricity Prices in Pennsylvania by $288 Million Annually
A new report shows that the operation of the Three Mile Island Unit 1 Generating Station lowers wholesale electricity prices in Pennsylvania by $288 million per year.

2/27/2008 - Three Mile Island Raises $3,600 for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Lancaster County
Three Mile Island is donating $3,600 to the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Lancaster County. The funds were raised as part of Three Mile Island’s participation in a Bowl For Kids’ Sake event to be held at Clearview Lanes in Mount Joy on Saturday, March 1 at 1:00 p.m. Twenty TMI employees are participating in the event. The total donated includes a $2,500 corporate contribution and $1,100 raised by employees.

2/19/2008 - Noll Named Site Vice President at Three Mile Island
Ron DeGregorio, Sr. Vice President, Exelon Nuclear, today announced that William G. Noll has been named Three Mile Island Site Vice President. Noll replaces Rusty West, who has decided to leave Exelon to pursue other opportunities.

2/11/2008 - Three Mile Island Charitable Giving Reaches $245,000 in 2007
AmerGen Energy Co. and its employees at the Three Mile Island Generating Station, contributed $245,000 to local charitable and service organizations in 2007. More than 40 local organizations in the mid-state received contributions from either AmerGen or its employees in the past year.

1/8/2008 - AmerGen Submits TMI License Renewal Application to NRC
AmerGen Energy Co. today submitted an application to the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) to extend the operating license of Three Mile Island Unit 1 Generating Station by 20 years.

12/3/2007 - Three Mile Island Gives Record $141,778 to 2007 United Way Campaign
Three Mile Island Generating Station today announced that its employees and the company continued their tradition of generous community support by contributing $141,778 to the 2007 Capital Region and Lancaster United Way campaigns. This is the largest amount ever contributed by Three Mile Island.

11/12/2007 - Three Mile Island Supports Middletown Fire Co.
Three Mile Island Generating Station is making a $5,000 donation to the Middletown Volunteer Fire Company. The donation will be presented to Adam Sheetz, Fire Chief, at the Middletown Borough Council meeting at 6:30 p.m. today.

10/17/2007 - Three Mile Island Supports Royalton Senior Center
Three Mile Island Generating Station Site Vice President Rusty West will present a $5,000 donation to the Royalton Senior Citizens Center at a special catered lunch at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 18. The news media is invited to attend.

10/11/2007 - Independent Auditor Certifies Three Mile Island Generating Station’s Environmental Management System
The environmental management systems for Three Mile Island Generating Station have been certified under the strict criteria of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), AmerGen announced today.
